Lower Saucon Council Votes to Repave Steel City

Lower Saucon Township this Fall will repave all 13 streets that it maintains in Steel City. The Township Council voted [details] to put this project out for public bid and the lowest bidder was Bracalente Construction, Inc., Northampton, PA, with a bid of $826,627.50. The contract was approved by Council at it's June 26th meeting.

Bracalente Construction has informed the Township that they plan to begin this paving project in September.

Councilwoman Sandy Yerger stated,

“Council has been fiscally responsible over the past couple of years – so we can afford to fund important township infrastructure projects such as repaving Steel City, without increasing taxes on residents.”
